The women’s 10km open water swim was in progress early this morning, but attention now turns to the women’s heptathlon, with British world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson getting her campaign underway in the 100m hurdles.
There’s also plenty of water-based action with sailing and canoe sprint in motion at the Marina and Nautical Stadium.
