British Rowing's first practicing Muslim athlete, he talks to Jason about the role faith has played in his life and career, and how he embraced the challenge of training and fasting during Ramadan whilst preparing for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Graduating from the GB Rowing Team Start Programme, he won bronze medals with the Men鈥檚 Eight at both the London 2012 Olympic Games and the delayed Tokyo 2020 Games. His Olympic gold medal came in the Men鈥檚 Four at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games having also won three successive World Championship titles from 2013-2015.
