Live from the Royal Albert Hall on the day of the First Night of the 2024 ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Proms, Sean Rafferty looks forward to the great music and artists coming to the Proms this summer.
Live from the Royal Albert Hall on the First Night of the Proms, Sean Rafferty dives into the musical treats of the summer.
With just two and a half hours to go before curtain-up on the world's biggest classical music festival, Sean looks ahead to some of the musical delights in store across the season, including Brahms's Violin Concerto, which stellar soloist Anne-Sophie Mutter will play with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and Daniel Barenboim, Beethoven symphonies in chamber arrangements with Leonidas Kavakos, Yo-Yo Ma and Emanuel Ax, and Handel's great oratorio Messiah conducted by John Butt on the special Proms Choral Day.
But first, as the First Night of the Proms excitement heightens, join Sean and special guests, including American soprano Angel Blue, who will be one of the stars at this year's Last Night of the Proms, as they soak up the atmosphere at the Royal Albert Hall for the final countdown to the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Proms 2024.
