Belleek Potter’s bench, The Glens of Antrim and a special sapling at Downhill
Interactive art installation remembering Belleek pottery’s connection to the community, and a sapling grown from the seed of a 250-year-old Spanish chestnut tree has been planted.
An interactive art installation remembering Belleek pottery’s connection to the community has been unveiled in the village. Along with a potters bench the pottery siren, that rang for the best part of 160 years, can be heard again.
Deirdre Donnelly is in Downhill where a sapling grown from the seed of a 250 year old Spanish chestnut tree has been planted at the Downhill Demesne and we head to the Glens of Antrim where internationally acclaimed storyteller Liz weir, MBE, is holding her latest storytelling course.
