Jails in Wales and England will run out of space within days, putting the public at risk, according to The Prison Governors’ Association. In a letter, exclusively seen by the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ, the PGA is warning political leaders that police officers will be unable to detain people because there will be nowhere to put them. They’re calling for an immediate change in legislation, so all prisoners are routinely released from custody after serving 40% of their sentence.
