Episode 12 of 26

Shahbaz meets the man protecting peregrine falcons from criminal gangs, while Dougie is helping put ewes and lambs out to their summer pasture on Cape Wrath in north west Scotland.

In this episode, Shahbaz is at a secret location to meet a man working to protect Scotland’s peregrine falcons from criminal gangs who sell them on the international black market.

Elsewhere, Dougie is in the far north western corner of mainland Scotland to lend a hand putting ewes and lambs out to the hill. He sees how a flock is guided across the Kyle of Durness at low tide to reach its pasture for the summer on Cape Wrath. Meanwhile, Arlene is in Tayside to meet the crop scientists who are introducing traits from ancient wild barley into modern varieties in order to improve resilience as our climate changes. And, ahead of the Royal Highland Show, Rosie meets the Lawrie family at their farm near Kinross as they prepare for their Ayrshire cattle show.
