New Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ drama Lost Boys and Fairies tells the touching and sometimes difficult story of gay couple Andy and Gabe, who are going through the adoption process. Zara Janjua chats to its creator, Daf James, who has drawn on his own experiences for the series.

As the 2024 International Lunar Symposium opens its doors in Dumfries and Galloway, the Royal Astronomer for Scotland, Professor Catherine Heymans, shares her insight into lunar exploration as well as the wonder and awe the moon inspires in us.

Zara delves into the spiritual life of Shetland-raised freelance journalist, Jen Stout, who found herself in Russia as it was on the brink of invading Ukraine. She has since reported extensively on the war in Ukraine; the subject of her book Night Train to Odessa, Covering the Human Cost of Russia's War.

Making up our Faith Forum this week are Philip Blackledge, Rector of Holy Trinity, Melrose; Alison Phipps, Professor of Languages and Intercultural Studies at the University of Glasgow and UNESCO Chair in Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts; and counsellor Lama Bouchema, who works with displaced people.

Together they explore the theme of this week's Refugee Festival Scotland, Rise; thinking about what it takes to start over again having lost a home, an identity and a way of life.

They share their thoughts on the fictional meeting of two great minds of the 20th century. The new Anthony Hopkins film, Freud’s Last Session, sees the atheist and father of modern psychology, Sigmund Freud, invite the committed Christian writer C.S. Lewis into his home to discuss the existence of God.

And with so much attention on the Scottish Men’s football team in Germany, the panel discuss how to win and lose well, and the value of failure.
