Irish folk band The Mary Wallopers play a Sofa Session for Jo, including music from their latest album Irish Rock N Roll and a previously unheard cover.
Formed in 2016 by brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy with friend SeΓ΅n McKenna, The Mary Wallopers are a modern folk band from Dundalk, County Louth in Ireland. Performing their own versions of classic folk songs as well as original tracks, they first gained attention during the 2020 Covid lockdown for their livestreamed gigs, which were watched by thousands of people. Since then, they have released their debut album The Mary Wallopers (2022) and follow-up Irish Rock N Roll (2023).
Ahead of summer festival dates including an appearance at Glastonbury's Park Stage, The Mary Wallopers join Jo live at the legendary Maida Vale studios.
