Roy celebrates Cardiff's famous department store, Howells, with Sue Trepleton, who worked there for many years and has written a book called Howells, Beyond Closed Doors.
Roy marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day with a radio archive gem, telling the story of two young Welsh nurses who landed in Normandy just a couple of weeks after the Allied invasion and risked their lives to treat the wounded at a field hospital near the city of Bayeux. He will also be talking to Graham Clarke of Pendyrus Male Voice Choir, which is singing at the British Normandy Memorial in Ver-sur-Mer, on Friday June 7th. Roy also celebrates Cardiff's famous department store, Howells, with Sue Trepleton, who worked there for many years and has written a book called Howells, Beyond Closed Doors.
