Sheena McDonald presents highlights of the debates of 850 ministers and elders at the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

Aside from internal matters, the Kirk considers wider issues such as its presence in Israel/Palestine, the crisis in social care across Scotland and poverty. The programme includes reports on the work of Crossreach - the Church of Scotland’s social care arm – visiting a children’s home in Strathblane, and a project for recovering addicts in Glasgow. And we see two new initiatives where the church is growing by working with communities in Perthshire.
