Gary Davies sits in and Tim Booth chooses his final Tracks Of My Years.

Tim Booth, lead singer of 'James' reveals his final two musical inspirations this week. Plus the return of De Ja Woo and Ten To The Top at 1030.

Gary sits in for Vernon, and Tim Booth, lead singer of 'James', reveals his two final musical inspirations in this weeks Tracks of My Years.

Tim Booth, lead singer and co-founder of indie rock band James, who gave us anthems like ‘Sit Down’ and ‘She’s A Star’, selects the songs that shaped his life in this week's Tracks Of My Years.

James recently celebrated 40 years together, but they began when Tim met the future bandmates in the student union cellar bar at Manchester University. They stormed the 1990s with four top ten hits and reunited in 2007, landing five top ten albums.

They’ll be touring their latest album ‘Dummy’ in June, culminating at London’s O2, which will be the first time the band have played the 20,000 capacity venue.

Away from the band, Tim has written a novel called ‘When I Died For The First Time’ and has also worked as an actor in ‘Batman Begins’.

His final two choices come from Regina Spektor and Arcade Fire.

Plus De Ja Woo, Record and Album Of The Week, and the mid-morning music quiz, Ten To The Top.

Whatever you're up to, Gary wants to hear from you. And if you’d like to apply to take part in Ten To The Top, the address you need is tentothetop@bbc.co.uk
