Blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Joanne Shaw Taylor tells Cerys about her new album Heavy Soul, released on Friday 7th June, out on Joe Bonamassa's record label. For the new album, Joanne has been working with songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman, who has written songs for Bonnie Raitt, Elton John and Willie Nelson. The album is set to be a blend of Joanne's signature blues-rock guitar with soulful pop sensibilities.

Joanne was discovered, age 16, by the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, her debut album White Sugar was released in 2009, and she topped the Billboard Blues Charts with The Blues Album and her live album Blues from The Heart.
