They sold me a written-off car
The team investigates the seriously written-off cars patched up and put back on the road, and asks why e-bike batteries, withdrawn for being a fire hazard, could still be on sale.
Gloria Hunniford, Angela Rippon and Julia Somerville meet motorists unwittingly driving around in cars so badly written off they should only have been sold for scrap. As they discover their car’s true history, the team reveals how many other cars on British roads could be hiding a dark past. Also, with e-bike and e-scooter batteries linked to an increasing number of house fires, the team investigates the banned batteries still on sale. And the heartbreaking tale of the couple who sunk their life savings into a houseboat, only for it, and their worldly belongings, to end up at the bottom of the canal – and their insurer won’t pay out.
