It’s Not So Easy, Dandini

We enjoy tales of gorgeous green giants, foxy folk heroes and a patronising prince, as the collective remembers magical first crushes and a 1966 recording of Cinderella.

It’s a new home, in New Broadcasting House, which sees the welcome return of hugs with six-footer Rylan and the forever fragrant Gary Davies.

The stories of first crushes continue, embracing the non-human theme that emerged last week. The Green Giant is a love that still looms large for Sam, while Mairi's case for Top Cat is very compelling, and a foxy Robin Hood gets more than one mention.

We move from animated folk heroes, to fairy tales, with a callback to the earnest acting in a 1966 recording of Cinderella. It's remembered fondly by Suzie in Oxford and often quoted by Liza, who still needs to be convinced that β€œit’s not so easy being a prince”. And the collective enjoys a skate in the magical realm of Fairy Cross, in Devon.

The otherworldly musical mix includes a much-sampled drum riff from Skull Snaps, Byron Bay’s brilliant Babe Rainbow, and The Soup Dragons transport Liza to a party on the Leisure Peninsula (giving it everything).
