Talking Movies sits down with Lily Gladstone, who made history as the first Native American woman to be nominated in the Best Actress category at the Academy Awards.

She has the leading role in Martin Scorsese's epic Killers of the Flower Moon. When the film had its world premiere at the Cannes Festival, there was immediate talk that Lily Gladstone's performance marked the birth of a major star.

Gladstone was born on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana, and is an extremely eloquent advocate for the increased representation of indigenous people in cinema. She is also very critical of the way in which Hollywood has depicted Native Americans historically.
