English Teacher play a Sofa Session for Jo, including tracks from their new album This Could Be Texas and a previously unheard cover!

Formed in Leeds in 2020, English Teacher are singer Lily Fontaine, guitarist Lewis Whiting, drummer Douglas Frost and bassist Nicholas Eden. Since the release of their first EP Polyawkward in 2022, English Teacher have sold-out tours in the UK and the US, appeared on Later... with Jools Holland, made their debut Glastonbury appearance and supported bands including Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Paolo Nutini.

After years of playing live, the band will release their debut album This Could Be Texas on the 12th April. It features singles Nearly Daffodils, R&B and The World's Biggest Paving Slab. They will tour the UK again in May.

Ahead of the release of their debut LP, English Teacher join Jo live at the legendary Maida Vale Studios.

Plus, the Vinyl Revival from Nirvana. To mark 30 years since the death of frontman Kurt Cobain, this week Jo plays tracks from the band's seminal album Nevermind and shares your memories of listening to the record.
