The Very Revd Dr Sarah Rowland Jones

A service on Palm Sunday led by the Very Revd Dr Sarah Rowland Jones, dean of St Davids.

The evening edition of the programme includes My Favourite Hymn.

In the Western Christian calendar today is Palm Sunday, recalling Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, as the crowd spread cloaks and palm branches on the ground before him. Yet within a matter of days those same crowds’ cries of β€œHosanna” will change to β€œCrucify him.”

During this service the Very Revd Dr Sarah Rowlands Dean of St Davids in Pembrokeshire, we move through the coming Holy Week from Palm Sunday, towards Jesus final days in Jerusalem, his Last Supper, Judas’s betrayal, Jesus’s arrest, crucifixion, and his burial. Then seven days hence we reach Easter Day and the miracle of the empty tomb.

Biblical readings:
Mark 11: verses 1 - 11
Mark 14: verses 43 – 46, 48 – 49
Hymns include Ride on, ride on in majesty, It is a thing most wonderful and When I survey the wondrous cross.

The evening edition of the programme includes My Favourite Hymn.
