Your memories of the miners strike which started 40 years ago today. What still stands out from 1984 and 85…..the pickets, the politics, the solidarity, the hardship…? And the number of independent record shops in the UK is at a 10-year high, and the demand for vinyl records increased for the 16th year in a row, according to the Digital Entertainment and Retail Association. But what makes vinyl so special compared to any other format? And what’s your go-to indie shop or stall?
