This week, Cerys invites Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera to share his favourite blues records, ahead of the release of his memoir RevoluciΓ³n to Roxy.

Born in London, Phil spent his childhood in various locations including America, Venezuela, Colombia and Cuba. It was in Havana, Cuba where Phil's interest in the guitar began inspired by Cuban folk songs. After college in London, Phil auditioned to be the guitarist in Roxy Music alongside Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay and Brian Eno. The band had hits in the 70's with Virginia Plain, Love Is The Drug Dance Away and Angel Eyes before topping the singles chart with Jealous Guy in 1981 and achieving 4 top ten albums. In 2022, Roxy Music reformed for their 50th anniversary tour. Outside of Roxy Music, Phil has released albums as a solo artist, performed with Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards and blues guitarist Robert Cray.
