Scotland’s Most Remote Club Night

Transforming Ullapool’s Ceilidh Place venue into a nightclub, promoters Sigi and Jemima share their motivation for bringing house and techno to the village.

Addressing the lack of nightlife for young people in the area, Ullapool native Sigi and his friend Jemima take on the challenge of creating Scotland’s most remote club night.

Capturing the action as their electronic music night baile/baile is brought to life, Sigi shares his experience of growing up in this remote part of the county and highlights how important music and community are.

From immersion in trad and folk at a young age, to the influence of Martyn Bennett and discovering dance music at Rockness Festival, Sigi shares the journey which brought him home to Ullapool to start a club night for the next generation.
