Is there a cure for a hangover? Can drinking celery juice help with weight loss? Also, a look at the dangers of DIY dentistry and advice on dealing with tinnitus.

Tinnitus is a condition that affects one in seven people in the UK and is often described as a β€˜ringing in the ears’. For many, it’s a debilitating condition leaving them desperate for a cure. But when no cure actually exists, you can be left spending money on one con after another. Twenty-one-year-old student Caris had ringing in her ears from a young age. When she started looking for cures online, all she found was a lot of people trying to make money peddling hack cures that were nothing but cons. In the studio is Andrew Swift, an ear, nose and throat specialist, advising what can really help those who suffer from the condition.

Is there a cure for a hangover? Many of us have a view on this or our own remedy that we hope will work. We explore everything from drinking lots of water through to the big fry-up and even the β€˜hair of the dog’ – an alcoholic drink the day after. Do any of these work?

A recent report by the Health and Social Care Committee revealed that due to the current NHS dental crisis, one in ten of us have been resorting to DIY dentistry. In the studio is Dr Milad Shadrooh, known online as The Singing Dentist, with over 250 million views of his social media pages. Dr Shadrooh talks us through steps that can help if we have a dental emergency and warns against what we should definitely not do.

The self-tanning industry hit over one billion dollars last year alone, with new products popping up all the time – all claiming to speed up the body-bronzing process. But a quick fix in the short term can lead to long-term regret. Twenty-three-year-old Maddie from Essex is a committed tan fan. She started to see people talking about a nasal spray that provided a brand new way to get a tan. But things did not go according to plan. In the studio, consultant dermatologist Dr Deirdre Buckley walks us through exactly why material online can be so dangerous.

We look at one the latest social media trends, with millions of people drinking celery juice claiming it helps you lose weight and can clear up bad skin. Dr Xand weighs in with the facts.
