Radio 2 Piano Room: Olivia Dean

Artist of the Year Olivia Dean steps up to the mic for Piano Room Month alongside the 麻豆约拍 Concert Orchestra. Plus there's more music quizzing in Ten To The Top.

Today, 麻豆约拍 Music Introducing Artist of the Year 2023, Olivia Dean performs for Radio 2 Piano Room from Maida Vale studios, accompanied by the 麻豆约拍 Concert Orchestra.

With a top four debut album, a Glastonbury set and a Mercury Music Prize nomination under her belt, it's no surprise she was named 麻豆约拍 Introducing's Artist of the Year in 2023.

Also, poet John Cooper Clarke is Vernon鈥檚 guest this week on Tracks Of My Years. 鈥楾he Bard of Salford鈥� rose to prominence as a performance poet in the late 70s, performing alongside punk and post-punk acts like the Sex Pistols, Joy Division and Buzzcocks. He鈥檚 since released 7 albums, 2 poetry collections and performed his poetry in theatres and festivals the world over.

John鈥檚 latest poetry collection 鈥榃hat鈥� is released on 8th February and coincides with his 2024 national theatre tour celebrating 50 years of showbiz. The 鈥楪et Him While He鈥檚 Alive鈥� tour will see John performing all around the country, taking fans on a one-of-a-kind journey through poetry and comedy.

John's two tracks today are from Doris Day and Elvis.
