Nadeem Islam hosts a panel debate on what it means to be deaf in 21st-century Britain.
With the BSL Bill passing, and more and more deaf awareness being raised every year, it seems there is no better time to be deaf. But what does being deaf mean in today's world? Has it changed from the past?
Deaf identity is not an easy thing to define, so See Hear has invited a panel of six guests from across the deaf community to try and get to the heart of what it means to be deaf in 21st-century Britain. All panellists have reached their identity through different routes and have different points of view to identify and discover.
Hosted by Nadeem Islam, this two-part miniseries aims to reflect and discuss the deaf community as what it was, what it is and what it could be.
