The Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad chat to author Katherine Rundell, winner of the Waterstones Book Of the Year 2023 for her novel Impossible Creatures. Described as an 'immediate classic' by Bea Carvalho, Head of Books at Waterstones, Katherine explains how children's books are a 'way of talking more broadly about the things we value and the things we love'.

Kate and Jason are also joined by Brit nominee singer-songwriter Rumer about her return to the spotlight. She talks about her Anglo-Asian roots, her Catholic faith and how it has influenced her work including her most recent album, Nashville Tears, which draws on her experience of living in the American south as she embraced its community and culture. The songs draw on the catalogue of American Hall of Fame songwriter Hugh Prestwood, who she says 'touches heaven and earth in the same song. He's earthy but his songs have a spiritual element to them.'
