Nicola Meighan catches up with pop singer and lengend of stage and screen Barbara Dickson.

Nicola chats folk singer, pop star, legend of stage and screen, Barbara Dickson. She's just released her latest album, My Own Adventure, and she's about to embark on her final full-band tour across Scotland - and beyond.

Next Friday sees the release of a new musical film version of The Color Purple. It sees Corey Hawkins take on the role of Harpo in the movie which has been adapted from Alice Walker’s 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, and from the hugely successful Broadway show.

Louise Welsh's novels include The Cutting Room, and The Second Cut. Her new darkly comic novel, To The Dogs, is out this week. Nicola catches up with the award-winning writer.
