For the Radio 2 Culture Club, movie critic James King covers the latest releases, including The Holdovers, The Color Purple, All of Us Strangers and Pet Shop Boys: Dreamworld.

The Holdovers is a new film from American director Alexander Payne. It stars Paul Giamatti as a grumpy history teacher at a boarding school in 1970s New England, who stays on campus during the Christmas break to look after a handful of students.

A modern musical take on the classic novel, The Color Purple brings to life the story of Celie Harris, a black teenager living in 1900s Georgia.

All of Us Strangers stars Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell in a romantic drama-turned-ghost story, as a screenwriter living in London grapples with life in middle age β€” his sexuality, career, and the loss of his parents β€” alongside a blossoming relationship with his neighbour.

For the 40th anniversary of Pet Shop Boys, experience their greatest hits on film β€” Pet Shop Boys: Dreamworld is a brand new concert movie which captures their first greatest hits tour, as performed live in Copenhagen's Royal Arena.
