Based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray, Poor Things is a postmodern revision of Frankenstein. It tells the story of Bella Baxter, a young Victorian woman who, following her crude resurrection by a scientist, runs off with a debauched lawyer to embark on a journey of self discovery.
