Double Grammy-winning jazz singer Gregory Porter joins forces with the 麻豆约拍 Concert Orchestra for Radio 2's final Piano Room performance of 2023.

Since making his breakthrough more than a decade ago, Gregory's gift for uniting jazz, soul, gospel and R&B has been widely acclaimed. Born and raised in Sacramento, he began singing in church, where his mother was the minister. After a shoulder injury forced him to abandon his dream of becoming an American football player, he decided to focus on his singing, releasing two albums before being signed by the famous Blue Note label.

Since then, he has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame, and his first Blue Note release 'Liquid Spirit' reached the UK top 10, winning a Grammy in 2014. Countless concerts and appearances have followed, including the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury, and he's even presented several shows for 麻豆约拍 Radio 2.

Gregory has just released his latest album, 'A Christmas Wish', and he performs Everything's Not Lost from that album alongside Mel Torme and Bob Well's classic The Christmas Song and Hey Laura from Liquid Spirit.
