Join Cerys for an eclectic expedition heading North to the Arctic! She'll be taking you on an audio adventure via Scandinavia, Greenland, Northern Canada towards The Arctic, all from the comfort of your speakers!

Physicist and oceanographer Helen Czerski tells us about her most recent research trip to measure ocean breathing in the seas around Greenland and Northern Canada. After gaining a PhD from Cambridge, Helen began studying bubbles and oceans, with time spent at The Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego and the Graduate School of Oceanography in Rhode Island before setting up her own research programme on the physics of ocean bubbles in the UK.

And Cerys catches up with Tete-Michel Kpomassie, who grew up in West Africa obsessed with the Arctic. He ran away from his village in Togo aged 16 determined to reach Greenland. Now in his 80s, he’s planning on returning to Greenland to retire there.
