Who's up for Ten to the Top?
Actor Luke Evans chooses his Tracks of My Years, plus there's Album and Record of the Week, trips to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Archive in Vernon's Vault and another round of Ten to the Top.
Actor Luke Evans chooses his Tracks Of My Years.
After winning a scholarship to the London Studio Centre theatre school and graduating in 2000, Luke began his career on the stage, performing in many of London's West End productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf. He made his film breakthrough in the Clash of the Titans 2010 remake.
He continued to take the film world by storm appearing in huge Hollywood blockbusters such as The Fast and The Furious, The Girl On The Train, The Hobbit and 3 Musketeers. Luke also starred in the live action remake of Disney's Beauty and the Beast alongside Emma Watson where he had the chance to show off his singing talents as 'Gaston'.
But Luke says music is his first love, and he's released two solo album and recorded a musical special for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ1.
Luke is currently appearing in 'Backstairs Billy' at the Duke of York's Theatre in London. The new comedy play centres around the relationship between the Queen Mother and William "Billy" Tallon, with Luke playing Billy and Penelope Wilton as the Queen Mother.
Luke's two tracks today are from The Drifters and Madness.
There'll also be more audio nuggets from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Archive in Vernon's Vault; Record and Album Of The Week and the mid-morning music quiz, Ten To The Top.
