Cathy Macdonald and Tony Kearney present a special programme themed around a child's experience of Christmas
Cathy MacDonald and Tony Kearney celebrate the 25th December with a blend of music and conversation on the theme of a child's Christmas.
Santa may be one of the most popular figures of the festive season but where does that leave the baby at the centre of the Christmas story? The Very Reverend Dr Susan Brown discusses how you keep the message of Jesus central to children's understanding of the meaning of Christmas.
Around the world war continues to cast a shadow over many countries. Cathy and Tony are joined by Father Vasyl Kren of the Ukrainian Church in Leith in Edinburgh and Father Nael Abu Rahmoun, the Vicar of Christ Anglican Church Nazareth in Diocese of Jerusalem to explore how they are approaching Christmas for the younger members of their congregations.
And keeping everyone happy at Christmas can be quite a challenge but what's life like when you have 12 children in the same house! Zoe Sullivan lives in Lossiemouth and has a dozen children aged between 18 years old and 20 months old. She joins Cathy and Tony to discuss how you manage to keep the peace at Christmas with a busy household.
Plus there are three special childhood Christmas memories from famous faces Alex Norton of Two Doors Down fame, novelist Val McDermid and Still Game's Isa, actress Jane McCarry.
