In a special festive programme reflecting on 2023, Dougie celebrates the season at Castle Fraser in Aberdeenshire. He helps out decking the halls in traditional style and discovers the symbolism and meanings behind the foliage foraged from the castle grounds.
Revisiting some of the best stories from the year, he looks back at the farming calendar, from muck spreading early on through to ploughing and the harvest. Across the series, the team have encountered animals of all shapes and sizes, including some amazing wildlife and incredible farm livestock. Dougie recalls just a few of the inspiring people the series has featured this year. Also, Shahbaz joins him to share again the Best of the Best viewer photos, and they select their favourite for the year.
