All the items listed will be auctioned on Radio Orkney’s fundraising programme which will run from 7pm on 93.7FM and on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sounds. All items are listed on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Orkney Facebook page.

Regular updates on prices will be given during the programme, and we also try to keep the facebook pictures updated with current bids as much as we can.

STAR ITEMS 1-14 (run from 8pm to approx. 12.15)
1. LOGANAIR: pair of return flights on the Loganair network.
Prize winner seats are subject to availability. Winners should be flexible in their choice of dates and
destination. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Loganair requires a minimum of 7 days notice to process your request. Vouchers are not redeemable for cash in whole or in part.
Name changes, extensions or route changes are not permitted. The prize winner and companion must travel together. Liability concerning travel documentation rests solely with the prize winner.
Travel is subject to Loganair’s standard conditions of carriage prevailing at the time of travel.
2. BA PAINTING original oil painting by George Scott titled New Years Day Ba Kirkwall, donated by Ian Begley, who obtained it earlier this year from a dealer in Aberdeenshire. Original frame signed on the back 4 corners and labelled by the artist. Measures 41x16.5 inch. Unglazed. The
composition is very closely related to that of the 1968 oil painting titled The Ba on Broad Street owned by Orkney Islands Council, which can be viewed online at George Scott, was Art teacher at KGS from late 1940s to early 1970s. He painted the portraits of the
KGS rectors Alexander Leask and Harry MacKerron. His artwork was included in an art exhibition organised by Stanley Cursiter for the second Stromness Shopping Week in 1950.
3. STONE LION’S HEAD
a unique carved lion's head from the stonemason's workshop at St Magnus Cathedral. It is in sandstone, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
4. GRANDBAIRNS ORKNEY CHAIR
beautiful peedie straw back chair made by Hugh Mainland. (25 inch high / 15 inch wide )
5. ORKNEY COG:
Bride’s Cog made by Malcolm Gilbert – he says this one is a bit different as it’s made from Yew. It’s been treated with a varnish which is alcohol and boiling water resistant and is safe to drink from.
6. HIGHLAND PARK

7. SPINNING WHEEL
Ashford make from New Zealand. Brand new quality wheel which comes with some wool.
8. ORKNEY CHAIR
straw work by Julia Hume and woodwork by Colin Kirkness. Approx. 3foot high and 18 inches wide.
9. LEO KERR MIRROR
Beautiful Oak mirror, which Leo has taken on his travels with him and has photographed in various places, including the Kelpies.
10. YOUR OWN TUNE
Brian Cromarty will write a tune to the highest bidder. The successful winner gets to name the tune and have input on the style - waltz, jig, reel etc, and will get a manuscript and recording of the tune. A great gift for a wedding, anniversary, retirement, or just to treat yourself.
11. SHEILA FLEET - BA’ NECKLACE AND DROP EARRINGS
Enamel on silver matching necklace and earrings set. The design inspired by a Ba’ made by Garry Gibson and won by Duncan Currie on Christmas Day in 1976.
