For the Radio 2 Culture Club, Jo chats to movie critic James King about his film choices you won’t want to miss. This week he covers Fairplay, The Burial, Blackberry and The Creator.

Starring Phoebe Dynevor, Alden Ehrenreich and Eddie Marsan, Fairplay is a dramatic thriller about a couple who both work at a cutthroat hedge fund, but are forced to keep their relationship a secret due to company policy. Following an unexpected promotion, the pair attempt to deal with a dynamic shift from colleagues to employee and superior.

The Burial is a legal drama loosely based on the story of lawyer Willie E. Gary (played by Jaimie Foxx) and his client Jeremiah Joseph O’Keefe (portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones). It follows the pair’s infamous lawsuit against funeral home titans the Loewen Group, which produced a $500 million jury verdict and led to the latter’s bankruptcy.

Blackberry is a fictional biographical comedy drama, loosely adapted from Jacquie McNish and Sean Silcoff’s book Losing the Signal: The Untold Story Behind The Extraordinary Rise and Spectacular Fall of BlackBerry.

Set in the midst of a war between humans and artificial intelligence, The Creator follows ex special forces agent Joshua as he hunts the Creator, who has developed a weapon capable of ending the war by destroying the human race.
