A service led by the Revd Dr Jennie Hurd, one of the District Chairs of the bilingual Synod of the Methodist Church in Wales.
According to the song by Elton John, βSorry seems to be the hardest word.β It can be hard to admit when weβre wrong, but it can be even harder to forgive. Yet forgiveness is at the heart of the teaching of Jesus and the Christian message. In this service Jennie Hurd considers both the forgiving of others as well as forgiving ourselves.
Readings are taken from Genesis 50: vs 15-21 and Matthew 18: 21-25. Hymns include βAmazing graceβ, βDear Lord and Father of mankindβ and βGod forgave my sin in Jesuβs nameβ.
The evening edition of the programme includes My Favourite Hymn.
