Singer, songwriter and record producer Cathy Dennis chooses her final Tracks of My Years.
Signed by manager Simon Fuller aged 17, Cathy achieved her first success as a vocalist with D Mob, singing on tracks like Cβmon and Get My Love. Moving into work as a solo artist, she released four solo albums featuring hit singles including Touch Me (All Night Long) and Too Many Walls.
From the 90s into the 2000s, Cathy progressively moved into work as a songwriter and producer, penning multiple number one hits like Kylie Minogueβs Canβt Get You Out of My Head, Britney Spearsβ Toxic (for which she won a Grammy) and Will Youngβs Anything Is Possible.
After 15 years without a public performance, Cathy returned to performing at Londonβs Mighty Hoopla in London in 2019, and has recently teamed up again with S Club 7 co-writer Simon Ellis to pen S Clubβs new single These Are the Days.
Cathy's final two tracks come from The Crusaders and Burt Bacharach & Elvis Costello.
There'll also be more audio nuggets as we dive in to the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Archive in Vernon's Vault, plus the mid-morning music quiz Ten to the Top and a brand new Record and Album of the Week.
Whatever you're up to, Vern wants to hear from you: email vernon@bbc.co.uk - and if youβd like to apply to take part in Ten to the Top, the address you need is tentothetop@bbc.co.uk.
