For the Radio 2 Culture Club, Jo chats to movie critic James King about the latest film releases you won’t want to miss, including Past Lives, Tár, Angelheaded Hipster, and the 20th anniversary rerelease of School of Rock.

Past Lives tells the story of Nora and Hae Sung, childhood friends who reunite after 20 years. Both with their own separate lives now, they must confront complicated ideas of love and destiny.

Now available to stream, TΓ΅r is a psychological drama starring Cate Blanchett. It tells the story of a world renowned conductor who is facing accusations of misconduct.

Including interviews from the likes of David Bowie, U2, Nick Cave, Elton John and more, documentary Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan and T.Rex offers a deep dive into the life and music of the late glam rock pioneer.

Starring Jack Black, School of Rock was originally released in 2003. For the following 12 years, it held the title of highest grossing music-themed comedy of all time, and spawned stage musical and television adaptations. This weekend, the comedy returns to the big screen in celebrated of it’s 20th anniversary.
