Singer, songwriter, actor and radio personality Beverley Knight MBE takes us on her 10-song journey in this omnibus edition of Tracks of My Years.

And Beverley is no stranger to Radio 2, as she presented her show Beverley鈥檚 Gospel Nights for six seasons - it explored the origins and impact of gospel music. And throughout the next hour we鈥檒l hear how she was heavily influenced by those traditions through Sam Cooke, Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston.

Beverley has scored 14 UK Top 40 singles, which include Shoulda Woulda Coulda, Come As You Are and Keep This Fire Burning and is one of the UK's most successful soul singers. She made her first foray into musical theatre in 2013 as Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard and has since starred in Memphis, The Drifters Girls and Sister Act and this year won the Olivier Award for her charismatic performance as Mama Emmeline in The Old Vic鈥檚 production of Sylvia.
