Wolfgang Van Halen chooses his Rock God
Wolfgang Van Halen reveals his Rock God, plus Johnnie marks a turning point in Def Leppard's career for This Week in Rock.
Wolfgang Van Halen could never hide behind his name. It's not hard to guess who his dad might be, in the world of rock n' roll, but he's dealt with all manner of bonuses and drawbacks with a dignified and at times, justifiably wry attitude.
He releases his work under the name of Mammoth WVH and has been a multi instrumentalist for years, playing the vast majority of instruments on his debut album as well as writing the songs...and singing them, too. After a busy 12 months, performing at the Taylor Hawkins tribute shows at Wembley and in Los Angeles last September, as well as a support slot on the huge Motley CruΓ«/Def Leppard tour, he's been working towards the release of his second album, Mammoth II. His Rock God is great one who, surprisingly, hasn't been chosen as often as you'd think.
