Gary Davies sits in with Amol Rajan choosing Tracks Of My Years

Gary sits in for Vernon and broadcaster and new University Challenge host Amol Rajan chooses his penultimate two songs on Tracks of My Years. Plus, there's Ten to the Top at 10:30.

Gary sits in for Vernon for two weeks and broadcaster and new University Challenge host Amol Rajan chooses his penultimate two songs on Tracks of My Years.

Taking over hosting duties from Jeremy Paxman in the new series of University Challenge, Amol welcomes 28 new student teams tackling questions on everything from aromatic compounds to Zeno of Citium. The show has a new look, with a new set and title sequence, but its time-honoured format remains the same.

Amol is only the third person to present University Challenge in its 61-year history, and will bring his own distinctive approach to the role. Under his watch, matches will be fast, fiercely fought, and full of energy, even in the face of some of the show’s most difficult questions yet.

Amol presents Radio 4’s flagship Today programme alongside his prime-time interview show called Amol Rajan Interviews. He also hosts Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ podcasts on subjects such as Education, Climate Change, Fairness and Population, as well as making current affairs documentaries including How to Crack the Class Ceiling.

Plus there's the Record and Album of the Week and the mid-morning music quiz Ten to the Top.

Whatever you're up to, Gary wants to hear from you: email gary@bbc.co.uk - and if you’d like to apply to take part in Ten to the Top, the address you need is tentothetop@bbc.co.uk.
