Here we are with a brand new edition of Tracks of My Years - Gary Davies sits in for Vernon Kay and this week taking us on his ten-song journey is journalist, broadcaster and presenter Amol Rajan, who has just landed the role of host of the most successful student quiz University Challenge.

We'll find out his various music choices as well as exploring his stellar career which has gone from strength to strength. After studying English at the University of Cambridge, he was appointed editor of The Independent newspaper at the age of 29, becoming the youngest editor of a broadsheet title in Britain.

Amol was appointed the 麻豆约拍鈥檚 first Media Editor in 2016, and regularly co-presents The One Show. He is conducting a series of interviews with leading global figures called Amol Rajan Interviews, and his interviewees include such stars as Sir Ian McKellen, Nile Rodgers, Billie-Jean King, Novak Djokovic and Greta Thunberg.

His first book, Twirlymen, was a history of spin bowling in cricket, sharing his love of the sport with us all, and, of course, he has been a regular presenter here on Radio 2. He is one of the current hosts on Radio 4鈥檚 flag-ship news show, The Today Programme.
