Portaferry, Portrush and Armagh

Armagh City Choir tell us about building a strong community choir, Ruffian boats designed 50 years ago in Strangford Lough and the North Coast Trad group from Portrush.

The Armagh City Choir will be talking about building a strong community choir and in Portaferry there's a lot of action on Strangford Lough with a big regatta with Ruffian boats which were designed and built by two local men 50 years ago. We’ll be speaking to the North Coast Trad Group from Portrush ahead of their concert in Flowerfield Arts Centre.

Open Farm Weekend is back across Northern Ireland. Richard Orr, Chairman of the Comber Earlies Growers Association is talking about his love for potatoes. A very special rose garden in Bushmills called Billy Old Rectory is opening next weekend under the National Gardens scheme. We also hear from author John Magee from Omagh who has written a new children’s book called 'I Swapped Dad for a Robot.'
