Petroc Trelawny and Josie d’Arby host the third round of the prestigious competition as four more of the world’s most talented young singers compete for the biggest prize in opera.
As Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cardiff Singer of the World marks its 40th anniversary, four more of the world’s most talented young singers compete for the biggest prize in opera. From South Korea, Sweden, China and South Africa, they hope to impress the judges and make it through to Sunday’s final.
We hear music by Handel, Wagner, Puccini and Mozart in this penultimate round in the competition. The singers perform with the Welsh National Opera Orchestra conducted by Michael Christie.
Petroc Trelawny and Josie d’Arby bring us coverage of Round 3 from St David’s Hall. They are joined by charismatic British soprano Nadine Benjamin.
