A group of young students from Thornhill College will be jetting off to Silicon Valley in California at the end of the summer after their app won the top spot at a recent tech event in Belfast, the Digital DNA conference , which is widely recognised as the biggest of its kind here, and aimed at showcased the best emerging talent in the sector.
A man who was forced to switch careers after suffering a life-changing accident has been shortlisted for a prestigious educational award. Adrian Boyd, who lives in Castlederg, had worked as a roofer, but is now training as a counsellor thanks to a course being run by the North West Regional College.
