A familiar face makes a dramatic return, and one villager struggles to stay in control.

Helen finds a nervous Rob waiting for her in a café in Swindon. Rob asks after Jack. Has Helen any pictures? But Helen tells him he’s not seeing Jack in a photo or in person. If he wants to meet Rob when he’s an adult she won’t stop him, but until then she wants Rob to withdraw his child access application and to agree to Lee’s Community Resolution. Rob insists he doesn’t want to cause problems. He knows how much he hurt them. But he’s changed. When asked what happened between him and Lee, Rob says he felt threatened. He tried to stop Lee coming too close, but Lee grabbed him and threw him to the ground. Nonetheless, Rob says he’ll agree to the Community Resolution. However, he does want access to Jack. Helen doesn’t waver. He can choose to continue his abuse, or he can leave them alone. That’s the only way she’s going to think any better of him. When Helen tries to leave, Rob demands that she stay, the familiar steely tone back his voice. But then he collapses and starts to convulse. At the hospital, Helen calls Kirsty in a panic. She’s scared that Rob’s seizure was caused by his head injury. A doctor calls Helen through to see Rob and explains that the preliminary tests haven’t revealed anything. They’ll need to investigate further. Rob takes the opportunity to reassure a clearly shaken Helen. It was probably just the intensity of seeing her again. He’s going to be fine.
