Classical music to inspire you

Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music, including Shostakovich, Messiaen, Piazzolla, Handel, Skempton, Liszt, Chopin and Elgar.

This evening’s Classical mixtape kicks off with Shostakovich’s rousing Festive Overture, followed by some meditative choral Messiaen. We then take a trip to Middle-earth to visit Hobbits in the Shire and bask in a beautiful slow tango by Piazzolla. Plus a lively Handel recorder sonata, Howard Skempton’s Clarinet Quintet, Liszt’s piano transcription of Chopin’s The Maiden’s Wish and Elgar’s Enigma Variations to finish.
