The Pathway Fund and Derry group Little Orchids on the impact of funding cuts

The Department of Education's Pathway Fund is just over 2 million pounds and for the families and children who make use of it the benefits can be life changing. The Pathway Fund is open to all registered providers or facilitators of early years, from birth to 4 year olds, and is designed to help fund Playgroups, Crèches, Day Nurseries and the like. So when a listener was in touch about a potentially debilitating funding cut to one local group for kids with specific physical and sensory needs, Mark went to pay a visit to the Waterside's Little Orchids group.
Also on the show today this programme has got confirmation that the Department For Infrastructure has awarded funding for Phase 3 of the renewal of the Derry to Coleraine railway line.
The Friends Together Choir are in their final week of preparation ahead of their much anticipated concert next week in the Alley Theatre in aid of the NI Children's Hospice and we have an update on that lost insulin pump from Foyle Golf Club.
