A marathon effort in assisting the state

Thousands will run in this year's Belfast Marathon to raise money for charity, but why does the state depend on handouts from the public?

Thousands of runners will take part in this year's Belfast Marathon. Most of them will be running to raise money for a multitude of charities ranging from the Air Ambulance to the Hospice.
