The Love Song and Tony Robinson

Tony Robinson - Baldrick in Blackadder and much-loved TV historian - chooses more Tracks of My Years. There's also another spin of the Record of ohe Week and more Ten to the Top.

Actor, presenter and author Tony Robinson chooses his Tracks of My Years all this week.

Originally known as a comedic actor - with his turn as Baldrick in the Blackadder series perhaps being the best example - over the last few decades Tony Robinson has emerged as one of the most recognisable faces of popular history. Tony presented twenty seasons of Channel 4's archaeology series Time Team, made two series of The Worst Jobs in History and three series of Walking Through History.

Tony's also a noted writer - he wrote the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Maid Marian and Her Merry Men and has written a series of award-winning books for children and adults, including Tony Robinson’s History of Australia. His autobiography, No Cunning Plan, was published in 2016.

His latest venture sees Tony host a brand new podcast series called Cunningcast, in which he 'takes the long view on the big stories of the day, whilst delving into other weird and wonderful stories that grab him and make him want to know more about the world around us.' Guests in the series include Stephen Fry, Miriam Margolyes and John Lloyd, with topics ranging from the 40th anniversary of Blackadder to top ten pies to knighthoods.

Today's two choices come from Dusty Springfield and Aretha Franklin.

Plus, Gary's got another edition of Radio 2’s new mid-morning music quiz Ten to the Top, the Love Song messages and the Record and Album of the Week.
