Lola Lennox, Alan Warner and Banjo Beale
Banjo Beale tells Janice about TV series Designing the Hebrides, writer Alan Warner on imagining the flight of Bonnie Prince Charlie, plus singer Lola Lennox with her EP Dreamer.
Janice talks to Banjo Beale about new TV series Designing the Hebrides, which follows him as he revamps island properties including a lighthouse, a castle turret and a community rugby club.
And sticking with the Hebrides, author Alan Warner talks about bringing Scottish history to life in his novella Nothing Left to Fear From Hell, which imagines Bonnie Prince Charlieβs flight over the sea after defeat at Culloden.
This weekβs Afternoon Show Single of the Week is Hallelujah Kid by Leith based singer Nicky Lipp.
Chicago-born, Edinburgh based writer Angie Spoto tells Janice about her debut novel The Grief Nurse, a gothic fantasy set on an island inspired by Bute, imagining a world in which wealthy families can pay βgrief nursesβ to remove all their negative emotions like heartache, sorrow and grief.
And singer Lola Lennox talks about her debut EP Dreamer.
